Collector felicitates HMs for securing 100 percent pass percentage in SSC examinations in Karimnagar district

KARIMNAGAR, MAY 15, 2024: Collector Pamela Satpathy on Wednesday felicitated the headmasters\headmistresses of various government schools, ZPHS and other schools that recorded 100 per cent pass percentage in this year’s SSC examinations with an aim to encourage and improve the performance of the schools in the Class X examination.

At a function organised at the Collectorate auditorium in Karimnagar town, the Collector felicitated 84 schools headmasters and headmistresses and gave away honour certificates and mementoes. Incidentally, this move has been initiated by the Collector to encourage schools to keep up the good work and to try and better their performance by trying to produce rank-holders.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector informed the headmasters to treat the school as their home. Stating that they would get appreciations from the society if the schools are good in academics and other activities for the transformation of future generation, she said that they were taking all measures for providing all facilities in the government schools through Amma Adarsha committees.

Informing the headmasters to focus on providing safe drinking water, clean toilets, electricity and additional classrooms with all facilities, she also instructed the HMs to ensure that all the SSC failed to appear for the supplementary examinations and get passed by providing necessary guidance.’

Directing the HMs to bring to her notice if they notice the problems prevailing in the schools, she promised to provide cash prizes to at least 10 HMs for transforming the schools on all fronts including academics. Congratulating the HMs for achieving cent per cent results in the government schools, she said that she would take measures to conduct workshops for subject-wise teachers and teaching learning material melas.

She also said that she would at least one school in week in the district and warned of serious action if they HMs failed to take adequate measures including basic amenities. She also directed the HMs to provide the school uniforms well in advance to the students and assured to take measures to provide shoes to all the students with the support of philanthropist and other sources.

With the SSC supplementary examinations scheduled to be conducted from June 3 to 10, the Collector instructed the HMs to take all necessary measures to ensure that there was cent per cent pass percentage of the students and make them study further higher education. Trainee IAS Ajay Yadav, DEO Ch Janardhan Rao, Examinations department Assistant Commissioner Narasimha Rao, AMO Ashok Reddy, District Science Officer Jaipal Reddy, MEOs and all schools HMs and others participated in the meeting.
