KARIMNAGAR, MAY 15, 2024: Karimnagar District Election Officer and Collector Pamela Satpathy has instructed the authorities to ensure that no walkers had entered on the premises of SRR government arts and science college during the morning and evening hours in view of the storage of EVMs and VVPATs in the strong-rooms on the college premises.
The Collector along with Commissioner of Police Abhishek Mohanty visited the SRR College and inspected the strong-rooms where the EVMs of all the seven assembly segments of the parliament constituency were stored separately amid tight security cover and CCTV surveillance on Wednesday.
They inspected each and every strong-room and reviewed the security arrangements. They also given further directions for the close surveillance of the strong-rooms. They directed the authorities to ensure that no walker enters the college premises till the completion of counting of votes on June 4.
They also instructed the security personal to intensify the patrolling and surveillance during the night times. They directed the officials to be alert till the counting of votes. Karimnagar RDO K Maheshwar, Town ACP Narender and others were also present.
