Informs VCs to introduce reforms and strengthen the system and take measures to ensure that the varsities are free from drugs and ganja
HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 02, 2024: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has convened a meeting with newly appointed Vice Chancellors of various universities in the Telangana state at Secretariat in Hyderabad on Saturday. Telagana Council of Higher Education Chairman Balakishta Reddy, CM Advisor Vem Narender Reddy and others were also present.
On this occasion, the CM directed the Vice Chancellors to bring back the past glory of the universities in the state. Of late, the University were losing their sheen and the system was destabilised, he said and informed the VCs to bring reputation to the universities
Suggesting the VCs to conduct a thorough study and take appropriate measures, he also informed them to the help of consultancies for the reports for the development of universities Reminding that the Vice Chancellors were appointed without any pressures and they were selected based on their merit and social equations, he advised them to work with dedication and bring good name to the government and assured all assistance and support from the government.
The Universities should be reformed 100 per cent, he said and added that the universities should be free from drugs and ganja culture.
Satavahana University Vice Chancellor Prof U Umesh Kumar felicitated the CM by presenting with a bouquet and shawl. He also thanked the CM for appointing him as Vice Chancellor and assured to take all steps for the strengthening of university.
