Banks have issued advisories urging customers to complete important transactions before the strike begins on September 28
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 24, 2026: Employees of the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) staged a massive demonstration in front of UCO Bank in Karimnagar town on Thursday evening.
The demonstration served as a final preparatory phase before an upcoming three-day nationwide strike from September 28 to 30, demanding a five-day banking week on par with the central government employees.
Several bank employees from various national, cooperative and rural banks have participated in the demonstration, raising slogans demanding that the government implement a five-day banking week. The UFBU Karimnagar district leaders Damodar, Venkatesh, Praveen Kumar, T Raju, Sai, Rakesh, Harikrishna, Ravinder, Thriveni, Harish and others participated in the programme.
Meanwhile, several banks have issued advisories urging customers to complete all important transactions before the three-day strike from September 28.
