KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 30, 2024: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has taken up Bhavani Deeksha at the famous Sri Mahalakshmi temple at Chaitanyapuri in Karimnagar town along with scores of devotees on Monday.
The Union Minister along with other devotees took part in the rituals and participated in the Deeksha rituals.
Earlier, the Minister participated in the “Swachhta Hi Seva” programmes at Sapthagiri colony in Karimnagar town. Speaking on the occasion, he said that ‘to cleanse the impurities from your heart’. ‘Make cleanliness a way of life’, implementing the Mahatma’s vision is at the core of “Swachhta Hi Seva.” He also distributed health cards to sanitation workers. The Mayor of Karimnagar, Sunil Rao, acknowledged the central government’s strong support for the city’s development. He also said that Smart City Mission funds were sanctioned as a part of the scheme. The state government has also been requested to release the matching grant immediately and contribute to the development.
The Minister of State stated that politics can only be done till the elections, after that the development is possible only if the central and state governments work together. He said that even after the elections if they limit themselves to politics, people will lose development. Collector Pamela Satpathy, Mayor Y Sunil Rao, Municipal Commissioner Chahat Bajpai and others were also present.
