RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 30, 2024: Students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Sircilla, celebrated the Bathukamma festivities with a difference by creating awareness on importance of plants and flowers its medicinal values used during the Bathukamma festivities on Monday.
As part of Bathukamma festivities, the NSS unit and faculty members explained the importance of flowers and how they purify the water bodies after the immersion of Bathukamas. They appealed to the people not to use to the chemicals and pollute the water bodies.
The students and faculty members had lots of fun dancing and singing traditional bathukamma songs. Principal PSR Sharma, Vice Principal K Lavanya, Head, Dept of Botany Deepthi Reddymalla, faculty Ayesha Fathima, NSS team V Swapna, G. Swapna, G. Rajini, S Sandhyaranj, and other faculty members were present.
