KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 01, 2024: The Association of Alliance Clubs International, District 137 A, Karimnagar, has launched a campaign to educate the people on the importance of worshipping Clay idols during the ensuing Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations by releasing posters with the slogan “Let’s Worship Clay Ganapati – Let’s Protect the Environment,” as part of an annual initiative.
On this occasion, the Alliance Club members have decided to distribute over 200 clay idols to the people of the town and interested individuals to promote awareness among the public about worshipping eco-friendly idols.
During the event, Dr. E. Srinivas spoke about the harmful effects of using idols made from Plaster of Paris (POP). The event was attended by District Governor Chermala Venkateshwarlu, Dr. Elagandula Srinivas, Kola Anna Reddy, Srinivas Gandhi, Mahesh, Pulasa Shyam, Somavarapu Venkanna, Panduga Nagaraju, Eda Kumaraswamy, Nageshwar, Prasad, Lakshminarayana, Vijay, Anuradha, Katkuri Sudhakar, and Vasudev, among others.
