

HYDERABAD, APRIL 04, 2025: Students of Sister Nivedita, The Play School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, celebrated Sri Rama Navami by singing melodious songs with religious fervour on Friday.. Sri Rama Navami is the celebration of the birth of Lord Rama, the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu.

The programme began with traditional pooja rituals performed by the Principal of the school, Dr T Lalitha Kumari, followed by a puppet show where teachers showed Lord Rama’s birth using puppets. Keeping the festival spirit in mind, the tiny tots of pre-primary dressed up like Lord Sri Rama, Gorgeous Sita, Lakshmana, and Lord Hanuman. Dance drama was performed by children to show how Sita Swayamvaram was organised and Lord Rama was married to Goddess Sita. Children tapped their feet to the melodious tunes and expressed their happiness. The programme ended with the distribution of prasadams of ‘panakam’ and ‘vadapapu’ to the students.
The Principal of the school expressed their happiness at witnessing the active participation of the young learners. She addressed the gathering about the spiritual significance of Sri Rama Navami and advised everyone to follow the path of truth and honesty.
Chairman of the school, Dr Sudhakar Rao Polsani, and the Correspondent of the school, Hari Hara Prasad, conveyed their wishes to everyone. They emphasized the qualities of Lord Rama. His qualities remind us of the timeless values of truth, compassion, courage, and devotion
