Some devotees are having more than four darshan as there are no devotees in queue lines
TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 04, 2024: The pilgrims rush at the famous Hill Shrine of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has dropped considerably following the incessant rains followed by floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states over the last few days.
Devotees without tokens were having darshan of presiding deity for four times due to no rush in queue lines on Wednesday. Because of inclement weather conditions and floods and cancellation of several trains, the devotees, who booked tickets, were forced to cancel the tickets.
The present position of queue lines at Tirumala is as following; Vaikumtam queue complex filled, Narayanagiri sheds (nil), SSD compartments (nil), Special entry darshan Rs 300 tickets (nil), free darshan direct entry into the temple shrine and the devotees trekking inclue only 5,066 on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, a total of 57,817 devotees had darshan and 17,592 devotees tonsured their heads. The temple earned Rs 3.53 crore through Hundi collections.
