KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 30, 2025: The Stage is all set for the annual Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra under the aegis of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) will be conducted in Karimnagar town on July 5
The annual Rathayatra, which involves a public procession with a chariot with deities Jagannath (Vishnu avatar), Balabhadra (his brother), Subhadra (his sister) and Sudarshana Chakra (his weapon) on a ratha, a wooden doula-shaped chariot. It attracts many devotees who join the procession each year in the town of Karimnagar.
Accordingly, the organisers invited Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar to participate in the Jagannath Rath Yatra. The yatra would begin from Sri Satyanarayana Swamy temple in Ramnagar and pass through important streets of Mankammathota, Indira Chowk, Bus station, Kaman, Sastri Road, Tower Circle and converge at Vaisya Bhavan. ISKCON leaders Narahari Das, Kanna Krishna, Dr Rajabhaskar Reddy, T Ramesh Reddy and others were also present.
