Monthly, samples from every hotel will be tested in the Laboratory for FSSAI standards; otherwise, the penalties include a Rs. 5 lakh fine and possible seizure of the allotted premises
TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 01, 2026: TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary has directed all hotel and food outlet owners in Tirumala to provide hygienic, high‑quality food to the many devotees visiting Tirumala, especially during the twin Brahmotsavams in September and October.
Addressing them on food safety measures to be followed in Asthana Mandapam ahead of Brahmotsavams, the Additional EO said the TTD has run multiple training programmes on kitchen hygiene and food processing over the past two years for all the Hoteliers in Tirumala.
He said henceforth, every hotel’s samples will be tested in the Laboratory for FSSAI standards or else the penalties include a Rs. 5 lakh fine and possible seizure of the allotted premises.
Kitchens will be audited and certified for safety standards, and he said that all Hoteliers should sell only as per MRP.
The Additional EO also said Health Screening Camps will be organised for Hotel staff.
Earlier, FSSAI official Sri Jagadish briefed managers on the regulations. DyEOs Sri Venkateswarulu, Sri Somannarayana, and VGO Sri Surendra were also present.
