KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 01, 2026: The 70th anniversary of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) got to a colourful start at the LIC divisional office in Karimnagar town on Tuesday.
Marking seven decades of trust, service and commitment to the nation, this year the LIC is celebrating with the theme of ‘Our Journey, Your Trust’ with its remarkable journey and the unwavering faith of millions of policyholders. The LIC’s seven-decade legacy stands as a testament to its commitment to securing the dreams and aspirations of generations will be observing Insurance Week celebrations from September 1 to 7.
The celebrations began with the hoisting of the LIC flag by its senior divisional manager Shiva Naga Prasad, and the employees took a pledge to rededicate themselves to service to the nation.
Since its establishment in 1956, LIC has built a strong and enduring relationship with generations of Indians by providing financial security and helping families safeguard their future.

Participating as chief guest, Satavahana University Registrar Satish Kumar said that ‘Guided by the ethos of “Yogakshemam Vahamyaham — Your welfare is our responsibility,” LIC remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting lives, strengthening financial security and serving the evolving needs of its customers’.
Despite the opening of the insurance sector to private participation, LIC has retained its position as India’s largest life insurer, supported by its extensive network of branches, agents and digital platforms. It offers a wide range of life insurance, pension and market-linked products to meet the diverse financial needs of individuals and families, he stated.
LIC Karimnagar division marketing manager Somashekhar, Estates manager Raghu, CRM manager Venugopal, Class-I officers association leader Vijaykumar, Class-2 development officers association leaders Vasudeva Reddy, IECU leaders Vaman Rao, BMS leaders Ravindra Chary, SC\ST association leader Madhavi, LIC Valik association leaders Butchaiah, OBC association leader Sathaiah, Agents association leader Venugopal and others were also present.
The celebrations were conducted under the supervision of Penugonda Basaveshwar. On this occasion, eight pensioners who crossed 70 years of age and senior-most employee Indira Devi were specially felicitated. The LIC also distributed a sapling to all the employees as part of the ‘Plant a Life’ programme.
On this occasion, a mobile publicity vehicle of LIC was flagged off by the SDM. As part of the Insurance Week celebrations, a free medical camp will be conducted at Ambedkar Stadium in collaboration with Medicover Hospital in Karimnagar town on Wednesday (September 2, 2026).
