HYDERABAD, JUNE 25, 2025: With the Lashkar Bonalu scheduled to be held at Sri Ujjani Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad on July 13, the devotees have launched the formal steps for the ancient and historic Sri Jagadamba Mahankali temple on the premises of Golkonda fort in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
More than 300 womenfolk, including girls, participated in the decoration of applying turmeric and vermilion to a total of 350 steps. This temple is a popular destination for devotees during the Bonalu festival in Hyderabad. The temple dates back to the early Kakatiya period.
