JAGTIAL, JUNE 01, 2024: It was a sea of ‘saffron bridage’ (Hanuman devotees) at Sri Anjaneya Swamy devasthanam in Kondagattu of Mallial mandal in Jagtial district with the arrival of scores of devotees to offer prayers to the presiding deity on the occasion of Lord Hanuman jayanthi celebrations on Saturday.

All the roads in the integrated Karimnagar district and other parts of the state were leading towards the Kondagattu temple shrine with the Hanuman devotees wearing deeksha mala walking barefoot to the temple shrine braving scorching heat waves. The devotees after taking holy dip in the holy tank formed serpentine queues for the ‘mala vitharana’ and darshan of Lord Hanuman.

The chanting of ‘Jai Sri Ram’, ‘Jai Hanuman’, ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’ and others reverberated the hill temple shrine and the queue lines. The devasthanam authorities and police made adequate arrangements for the smooth darshan of the devotees by regulating the queue lines. Several voluntary organisations and others also offered services by providing drinking water and buttermilk sachets in the queue lines to the devotees. The temple authorities had opened adequate counters for the distribution of prasadams to the devotees.

Prominent among those who visited the temple shrine and offered prayers include Choppadandi legislator Medipalli Satyam, Vemulawada legislator Adi Srinivas, Peddapalli legislator Ch Vijayaramana Rao and others. The festival special officers Ramakrishna and Vinod Reddy oversaw the arrangements to avoid any untoward incident and cause inconvenience to the devotees. Jagtial DSP Raghu Chander supervised the police bandobust by deploying additional police forces to regulate the traffic flow.
