KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 03, 2024: The Karimnagar Traffic police have launched a special drive against the ambulances for using the sirens when they are not carrying patients or carrying fake patients. The use of sirens in such cases creates a disturbance in traffic flow and could cause accidents.
Accordingly, the Traffic Police have launched a special drive against the illegal use of sirens by the ambulances and caught an ambulance for using siren without patient and imposed e-challans. The traffic police have warned the ambulance drivers of serious action of if they misuse the privilege of siren during the emergencies and cause traffic problems.
The Traffic police have informed the ambulance drivers to use sirens only when they were carrying the patients. They warned of serious penal action if they misuse the sirens by moving without patients. Traffic inspectors Ramesh and Kareemullah, Sub inspectors of police Ishaq, Neelaveni, Shanigala Prashanth and others participated in the special drive.
