Sultanabad police recover lost gold jewelry bag within hours

PEDDAPALLI, MARCH 03, 2024: The Sultanabad Police have won accolades for handing over the lost gold jewelry within few hours to the victim in Sultanabad town on Sunday.

Police sources said that the victim Vasantha, a native of Gumlapur village of Choppadandi mandal, had kept her gold jewelry with her parent’s house in Suglampalli village in Sultanabad mandal before going to Samakka-Sarakka jatara. On Sunday, she collected the gold jewelry and travelled in an auto from the village to Sultanabad and boarded a bus to Karimnagar town.

When she realized that she had forgot to collect the bag containing the gold jewelry in the auto, she alighted the police and rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint. SI Vineetha responded instantly and alerted all higher officials including CI Subba Reddy, ACP G Krishna, DCP Chethan and CP Srinivasulu.

Immediately, the police constituted special teams and launched a special drive to identify the auto in which the woman had travelled. Following the CCTV footages, the police have arrived in Karimnagar town and traced the auto in front of Collectorate. During the search, the police could recovered the bag containing the gold jewelry. The auto driver also did not know about the bag in the auto.

Peddapalli ACP G Krishna handed over the gold jewelry to the woman and appreciated the SI Vineetha, constables Muninder Naik, Ali, Ashok, Raj Kumar and Venu for their instant operation and recovering the lost jewelry bag. Inspector Subba Reddy
