KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 17, 2024: The Karimnagar Rural police have conducted searches at the residence of former Kothapalli tahsildar Chilla Srinivas in Madhapur in Hyderabad and seized crucial documents pertaining to the land grabbing with forged documents on Sunday.
It may be recalled that the former Kothapalli tahsildar was arrested on March 8 (when he was working as Gajwel tahsildar) on the charges of land grabbing by using forged documents in Rekurthi on the outskirts of Karimnagar town. He was remanded to 14 days judicial custody. The Karimnagar rural police secured two-days police custody of former tahsildar on Saturday and conducted searches at his residence and guest house in Karimnagar town.
Later, the police teams visited his Hyderabad Madhapur residence and collected crucial documents pertaining to the land grabbing in Rekurthi, said Karimnagar rural inspector Pradeep. It may mentioned here that the Kothapalli police have also registered a criminal case against the former Kothapalli tahsildar on the charges of land grabbing by using forged documents in Kothapalli along with BRS leader Nandelli Mahipal.
