NSS volunteers participate in mass cleaning drive in a village as part of their 7-day camp

KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 17, 2024: NSS volunteers of Vivekananda Degree and PG College, Karimnagar town, as part of their second day of week-long camp, participated in shramdhan (voluntary cleaning work) by removing shrubs, weeds and cleaned the premises and roads in Indiranagar colony in Kodimial mandal on Sunday.

On this occasion, the NSS volunteers empowered the villagers on the importance of cleaning the surroundings clean and tidy to check the spread of the diseases. The villagers also thanked the volunteers for taking up the cleaning of the village premises and removing all the shrubs and debris.

NSS programme officer R Gopi Krishna appreciated the NSS volunteers for their social service as part of the camp. He also educated the volunteers on the importance of blood donation, eye donation and organ donation. He also explained about the importance of participating in the NSS camps for their overall personality development. Former upa-sarpanch G Jeevan Reddy, NSS award winning volunteers M Ravichander, U Aditya and others were also present.
