
]HYDERABAD, JUNE 09, 2025: A Fire Mock Drill was conducted on 09.06.2025 at 3:00 PM at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGiCCC), Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, as part of the emergency preparedness protocol to respond to fire-related incidents under the supervision of the Director, TGiCCC, VB Kamalasan Reddy.
The drill was carried out in coordination with multiple departments, including the Fire Services Department, Police, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Medical & Health Department, TGSPDCL, GHMC, HMWS&SB, etc.

The building has a state-of-the-art firefighting system with an advanced building management system where automatic lift circuit breaking system, Public Address System (PAS), etc., are present. The exercise commenced with the activation of the fire alarm system and announcements over the Public Address System (PAS). A smoke was simulated at 3:00 PM regarding a fire incident and casualty reported on the 3rd, 4th & 9th floors of Tower-A, TGiCCC. Accordingly, all lifts were inactivated, and all the occupants of the TGiCCC Towers were guided and safely evacuated by designated Fire Marshals and Assistant Fire Marshals in each floor using the staircases and gathered at the designated Assembly Point at Ground Floor (TGiCCC lawns near the National Flag Post), as per their respective Tower and Floor.
During the mock drill, participating departments demonstrated a timely and coordinated response in fire containment, rescue operations, traffic management, medical aid, and crowd control. The exercise highlighted the importance of inter-agency coordination and rapid response in mitigating risks during emergencies.
Following the successful evacuation and response demonstration, a de-briefing session was held at the Assembly Point. Mr C.V. Anand, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, Mr Vikram Singh Mann, Addl. C.P., L&O, Hyderabad, along with V.B.Kamalasan Reddy, Director TGiCCC, appreciated the coordinated efforts of all participating agencies and staff. Further, it was decided to conduct fire mock drills on 1st Saturday of every month which will prepare the staff to respond during such disasters in real-time.
This Fire Mock Drill reaffirms the TGiCCC’s commitment to maintain a high level of preparedness to safeguard lives and infrastructure in case of any untoward incident. A consolidated performance report of the mock drill, along with photographic and video documentation, has been compiled by the TGiCCC. The insights drawn will be utilized to refine SOPs, enhance training, and ensure robust disaster response mechanisms across the state.
