AI Avatar-Based Hindi Teaching: Mallapur Teacher’s Innovative Digital Experiment
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 03, 2026: Shareef Ahmed, Hindi Teacher at ZPHS Mallapur, Thimmapur Mandal, Karimnagar district, has been selected for the prestigious State Best Teacher Award 2026 in recognition of his innovative teaching practices and significant contributions to the education sector.
Along with classroom teaching, Shareef Ahmed has been actively contributing to digital education and teacher training. He has served as a Mandal, District and State Resource Person for Hindi, supporting various training programmes and contributing to the development of textbooks, modules, worksheets, learning outcomes, LEP Unnati and Class X Lakshya programme content.
As a technical in-charge of the DIKSHA Portal, he has developed and uploaded several digital learning resources and also created OER content for Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs). Since 2008, he has been promoting digital teaching and integrating technology with experiential learning.
In a recent innovative initiative, Sharif Ahmed has been using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform his own appearance into a digital avatar and create interactive Hindi lesson videos. By combining AI avatars, animation, voice synchronisation, and visual examples, he makes complex Hindi concepts simple, engaging and easy for students to understand.
His ‘Badibata’ awareness video, created to promote admissions in government schools, has also received appreciation. He has further encouraged experiential learning by taking students to state- and national-level adventure and integration programmes.
Shareef Ahmed’s innovative use of technology, commitment to Hindi education and continuous efforts to make learning engaging and accessible have made him an inspiration for teachers and students. His selection for the Best State Best Teacher Award 2026 is a recognition of his dedicated and innovative service to education.
