
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 09, 2025: Eminent Doctor and senior IMA leader Dr Bhoom Reddy (91) passed away due to age-related ailment at Chalimeda Ananda Rao Institute of Medical Sciences (CAIMS) in Karimnagar town on Monday evening.
Popularly known as ‘Bheeshma Pithamaha’ of IMA Karimnagar chapter, Dr Bhoom Reddy was instrumental in medical education in the integrated Karimnagar district. He supported several young and budding doctors in the district in setting up hospitals and clinics. The funeral would be conducted on Tuesday morning at Sapthagiri colony burial ground in Karimnagar town.

IMA district president Dr Anamalla Naresh, secretary Dr Siripuram Naveen Kumar, Treasurer Dr Ch Vijay Kumar and others condoled the sudden demise of Dr Bhoom Reddy and extended their condolences to the bereaved family members.
IMA district president Dr Anamalla Naresh said that Dr Bhoom Reddy is our beloved mentor, guide, and legendary leader. In a statement here, Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar expressed shock and offered his condolences to the bereaved family members. He stated that Dr Bhoom Reddy was known for service to society in the integrated Karimnagar district and encouraging budding doctors into the profession.
