ACB arrests Nizamabad Municipal Superintendent and seizes cash worth Rs 2.93 crore

NIZAMABAD, AUGUST 09, 2024:  Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have arrested Nizamabad Municipal Corporation Superintendent and Revenue Officer Dasari Narender and seized cash worth Rs 2.93 crore under property disproportionate to his income at his house in Nizamabad district on Friday.

The ACB sources said that they had registered a disproportionate assets case against Dasari Narender, who has acquired disproportionate to his known sources of income by indulging in corrupt practices and dubious means during his service. The ACB during searches at his house and other places had recovered cash worth Rs 2,93,81,000, and bank balance in his name, his wife and mother worth Rs 1.10 crore, 51 tulas of gold, 17 immovable properties worth Rs 1.98 crore, all worth a total of Rs 6,07,81,000.

The accused has been arrested and produced before the ACB special court in Hyderabad. The ACB authorities had a tough time in counting the cash worth crores of rupees by using the counting machines.
