KARIMNAGAR, DECEMBER 21, 2024: Students of Advita International School, Bhagathnagar, Karimnagar, celebrated the National Math Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan with a wide range of engaging and thought-provoking activities, showcasing the brilliance of mathematics in everyday life on Saturday. The event, organized meticulously by the Mathematics Department, aimed to instil a love for math among students of all levels.
The festivities began with the launch of a captivating student-created video that highlighted the omnipresence of mathematics in daily activities. The video featured a visually stunning human chain formation, symbolizing unity and the significance of math in connecting the world.
The younger students stole the show with a delightful ramp walk where toddlers donned costumes representing shapes and numbers, while the primary section enthralled everyone with rhymes celebrating mathematical concepts. The middle and senior levels presented remarkable math-based skits, blending education and entertainment seamlessly.
The Math Concept Expo was another highlight, featuring creative exhibits that demonstrated the application of mathematical theories in real life. The Ramanujan Quiz tested the students’ mathematical expertise and was met with enthusiastic participation.
A heartfelt tribute was paid to the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, whose extraordinary contributions to mathematics continue to inspire generations. His legacy, marked by ingenuity and dedication, served as the foundation for the day’s celebrations.
