Karimnagar DCCB celebrates Republic Day coinciding with the UN International Year of Cooperatives-2025

KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 26, 2025: The Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) celebrated the 76th Republic Day coinciding with the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives (IYC) on the premises of the main office in Karimnagar town on Sunday.

KDCCB and NAFSCOB chairman Mr Konduru Ravinder Rao hoisted the national flag. DCMS chairman Dr A Srikanth Reddy, DCCB Vice Chairman P Ramesh, directors V Mohan Reddy, S Swami Reddy, A Tirupati Reddy, CEO N Satyanarayana Rao, General Manager Mohd Riazuddin, and others were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravinder Rao said that it was a proud privilege to celebrate Republic Day, which coincided with the International Year of Cooperatives. Stating that the United Nations had declared 2025 the International Year of Cooperatives for the second time with the theme “Cooperatives build a better world, ” he said that the UN had celebrated IYC in 2012 with the theme of ‘Cooperative enterprises build a better world’.

Stating that the Union government for the first time after 75 years of Independence had accorded priority to the Cooperative sector with the constitution of a minister headed by Amit Shah, Mr Rao said that the Ministry of Cooperation has outlined a 12-month programme to celebrate the IYC in India to significantly advance the cooperative movement across the country.

Stating that the sole motto of cooperatives is equality, liberty and justice, he said that the transparency in the cooperatives would be accorded top priority and added that the Karimnagar DCCB has emerged as a role model in the computerization of all PACS which is being replicated throughout the country.

He also informed the bank officials to make all efforts to expand the cooperative sector and increase the reach of cooperatives to new areas. DGMs Y Brahmananda Rao, Satyaprasad, AGMs Mirza Imtiaz Ali, Nagarju, KDCCB main branch manager K Sunil, PACS development centre resource person G Satyanarayana and others were also present.
