KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 26, 2025: Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimnagar, celebrated 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on Sunday.
The celebration included a variety of cultural programmes showcasing the rich heritage and the diversity of India. Students presented patriot songs, dances and pyramids captivating the audience with their talent and dedication.
The programme began with the unfurling of the national flag by eminent poet and retired professor of Satavahana University Gandra Laxman Rao accompanied by Principal Renuka Balivada, Vice-Principal M. Prashanth, Head Mistress V Anitha, Academic coordinator E Srinivas and Administrative Officer Chittaranjan Mohapatra by singing National Anthem. This was followed by a parade led by the school’s NCC Cadets, displaying discipline and pride.
Addressing the gathering Principal highlighted the significance of Republic Day, commemorating the adoption of the Indian Constitution and this year’s theme “Swarnim Bharat – Virasat aur Vikas’ (Golden India – Heritage and Development)” which will highlight India’s Progress in Technology, Infrastructure and Culture Heritage.
Guest Gandra Laxman Rao has enlightened the children about how important the children are for the future Bharat and emphasised the importance of upholding values enshrined by the real saint Swami Vivekananda.
The event concluded with ‘Vote of Thanks’ leaving everyone inspired and determined to uphold the values of the Constitution. The Chairman, Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani and the Director (Academics) Dr. T. Lalithakumari appreciated the team of students who put up an excellent show and greeted the VRS family a happy Republic Day. The celebration was a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering a sense of patriotism and responsibility among its students. The event was attended by students, staff and parents and showcased the values of unity and dedication that the nation upholds.
