A Two-Day Workshop on Research Methodology Begins at SRR Government Arts & Science College in Karimnagar
KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 12, 2026: Research plays a crucial role in driving economic progress by solving various problems and paving the way for innovation and new methods, said Harikanth, Special Officer to the Vice-Chancellor of Satavahana University.
He was the chief guest at the inaugural session of the two-day workshop on Research Methodology, organised by the Department of Commerce of S.R.R. Government Arts & Science College (Autonomous) under the Academic Empowerment Programme of Satavahana University, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce, Satavahana University, on Wednesday. Addressing the students on the occasion, Harikanth emphasised the importance of research in societal and economic development.
He stated that new ideas, creative methods, and innovations emerge through quality research. He added that such developments contribute to the growth of the business, commerce, and industrial sectors, thereby facilitating the economic development of the nation.
On the occasion, College Principal Prof. Kalvakuntla Ramakrishna stated that society itself is a vast laboratory. He urged students to identify the problems existing in society as research topics and apply appropriate and quality research methodologies to suggest effective solutions.
T. Rajaiah, Head of the Department of Commerce, stated that Research Methodology is highly useful for students at the Ph.D., Postgraduate, and Undergraduate levels. He encouraged the students to make effective use of the workshop to gain an in-depth understanding of various aspects of research.
M. Malla Reddy, Coordinator of the Workshop, urged students to develop an interest in research from the Undergraduate level itself and to study various issues systematically so that they could identify meaningful and effective solutions to societal problems.
Subsequently, N.V. Sriranga Prasad, Principal and Coordinator of the Satavahana University Academic Empowerment Programme, explained the fundamentals of research methodology and the various stages involved in the research process. Other resource persons, Kanchu Tirupathi and M. Manoj Kumar, explained research design, sampling techniques, and methods of data collection to the participants.

Aravind, B. Narmada, C.H. Poornachander, Gauthami, Pragya, Mallesham, Raju, Sirisha, Nagaraju and K. Ramulu, along with a large number of students.
