KARIMNAGAR, JULY 05, 2026: Telangana Civil Supplies Director GV Shyam Prasad Lal has distributed the literary awards instituted in memory of their fathers by eminent personalities from various walks of life.
At a programme organised by Samakya Sahithi in Film Bhavan on Saturday evening, Mr Shyam Prasad appreciated the sponsors of the award and paid rich tributes to their parents and continuing their legacy to help the society.
On this occasion, Rajanisri Nruthya Puraskar Award, instituted by GV Shyam Prasad Lala in memory of his father, was presented to J Ratan Kumar, eminent dancer and president of Adivasi Nrutya Nikethan.
Dr Daram Nagabhushanam Award, instituted by eminent physician Dr D Raghu Raman in memory of his father, was presented to historian and poet K Rajkumar.
Madishetty Mallaiah Upadhyaya Puraskar, instituted by Samakya Sahiti president Madishetty Gopal, was presented to Telugu department associate professor and chairman of the board of studies, Osmania University, S Raghu.
Ravikanti Ramaiah Gupta award, instituted by former Deputy News Editor of Eenadu, Ravikanti Srinivas, was presented to eminent verse poet and former editor of Chathura and Vipula magazines, Chandra Prathap Kantheti.
Sampath Kumaracharya memorial Sangeetha puraskar, instituted by Samakya Sahiti general secretary KS Anantha Charya, was presented to eminent Mrudanga artist Namilikonda Venugopal.
Earlier, Mr Shyam Prasad released a brochure prepared by Nandi Srinivas, Samakya Sahiti president Madishetty Gopal, Karimnagar film society president Ponnam Ravichandra, eminent poet Gandra Laxman Rao, BVS Swamy, Gajula Ravinder and others were also present.
