WARANGAL, OCTOBER 23, 2026: Kakatiya University will organise a two-day international conference on “AI-Driven Innovations in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutics and Allied Disciplines” on December 21 and 22, 2026, under the aegis of the Centre for Training and Research in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutics and Allied Disciplines.
The conference poster was released by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. K. Pratap Reddy. Registrar Prof. V. Ramachandram, Officer on Special Duty Prof. B. Venkatram Reddy, Centre Director Prof. N. Prasad, Additional Director T. Shastri, and several Heads of Departments participated in the programme.

Prof. K. Kishore Kumar Appointed Dean, Faculty of Engineering at Kakatiya University
Prof. K. Kishore Kumar of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering has been appointed Dean of Engineering Faculties at Kakatiya University for a period of two years. As per the directions of Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Pratap Reddy, Registrar Prof. V. Ramachandram issued the appointment orders. Prof. Kishore Kumar will assume charge from the outgoing Dean, Prof. N. Ramana.
Prof. K. Kishore Kumar began his academic career as an Assistant Professor in January 2007. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2020 and Professor in 2023. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Studies in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Computer Society of India (CSI), the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). He has presented research papers at more than 12 national and international conferences and is currently guiding a research scholar.
Faculty members, non-teaching staff, research scholars, and students of the university congratulated Prof. K. Kishore Kumar on his appointment as Dean, Faculty of Engineering.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Pratap Reddy Inaugurates Development Works at Kakatiya University
The Vice-Chancellor inaugurated several development works on the university campus on Friday, October 23. The works include the newly constructed Block-II building for the Examination Branch, built at a cost of ₹167 lakh, and a cement concrete (CC) road from the University Sports Hostel to the Engineering College (Co-Education), constructed at a cost of ₹134 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, University Development Officer Prof. Y. Venkaiah stated that the new building would improve facilities for the evaluation process and help address existing operational difficulties. It would also provide additional space for the University Publication Cell and Stores section.
He further noted that the newly constructed CC road would improve campus connectivity and ease transportation difficulties faced by students, faculty, and staff, particularly during the rainy season.
Registrar Prof. V. Ramachandram, Officer on Special Duty Prof. B. Venkatram Reddy, Executive Council members Prof. B. Suresh Lal, Rama, Sudarshan, K. Anita Reddy, Prof. K. Rajender, Prof. N. Ramana, Additional Controllers of Examinations, Building Division personnel, Engineering College staff, and several teaching and non-teaching staff members attended the programme.
