KARIMNAGAR, JULY 05, 2026: Â Karimnagar Mayor Kolagani Srinivas said that the plastic monster is not only threatening the survival of the world population but also of billions of other species, and every citizen should adopt a plastic-free lifestyle to drive away the plastic menace.
Unveiling a wall poster, prepared by the Satavahana Lions Club, at the Mayor’s Camp Office on Sunday, the Mayor praised the Satavahana club’s initiative and said that the city’s drainage canals are full of plastic waste, and the corporation staff have to work hard to remove it. He warned that everyone should adopt a sustainable green lifestyle, otherwise there is a risk of fatal diseases like cancer. He said that the corporation will organise awareness programs for a plastic-free society and asked the city’s citizens to actively participate in these programs.
On this occasion, the club members felicitated the city, Mayor Srinivas. Satavahana Lions Club leaders, Lion: Capt:Â Burra Madhusudhan Reddy, Vice Presidents Lion: Vadluri Srinivas, Secretary, Lion: Narla Venugopal, Treasurer Lion: Mukund Praveen Kumar, Lion: Pachunuri Surender, Lion: Edavelli Ravinder Reddy and others participated in this meeting.
