TIRUMALA, JUNE 28, 2026: The nationwide Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme was ceremonially launched at Tirumala on Sunday, June 28, by TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri C.H. Venkaiah Chowdary, who administered polio drops to children near Sri Venkateswara Temple.
Speaking on the occasion, the Additional EO said that 25 Pulse Polio booths have been set up across Tirumala to ensure comprehensive immunisation coverage. He appealed to pilgrims and the local residents to bring all children below five years of age to the nearest Pulse Polio centre and ensure they receive the life-saving polio vaccine.
TTD Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kusuma Kumari, doctors Dr. Kalyani, Dr. Padmaja, Dr. Naveen Babu, and paramedical staff participated in the programme.
