RAMAGUNDAM, JULY 13, 2026: Sacred Heart High School, Ramagundam, in Peddapalli district, celebrated World Paper Bag Day on Monday by organising an awareness programme and educating the people and shopkeepers to avoid pollution-causing plastic.
World Paper Bag Day is celebrated globally on July 12 to promote eco-friendly packaging and raise awareness about the environmental hazards of single-use plastics. The NCC cadets under the supervision of NCC first officer and ANO PD Jyothsna conducted awareness to the merchants by visiting various shops and establishments in the coal belt area.
The NCC ANO emphasised the importance of using paper bags instead of plastic to protect the environment. She encouraged everyone to adopt eco-friendly alternatives and contribute towards building a cleaner and greener environment.
