TIRUMALA, JULY 11, 2026: The devotees turned panicked over the reported sighting of a leopard on the Tirumala Alipiri footpath trekking path on Friday night. According to reports, the devotees heard some sounds of wild animals and suspected that it was a spotted near the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, leaving them frightened.
A group of devotees raised an alarm after noticing the leopard near the temple. Upon receiving the information, Forest Department officials rushed to the spot and drove the leopard back into the forest by making loud noises with metal rods. Officials later advised devotees not to walk alone on the footpath and urged them to travel in groups for their safety.
