Bandi Sanjay secures lead in Sircilla assembly segment represented by BRS working president KTR

BJP contestant secures leads in six assembly segments barring Husnabad represented by Minister Ponnam Prabhakar

BJP candidate secures record lead in Karimnagar assembly segment represented by BRS MLA Gangula Kamalakar and Choppadandi represented by Congress MLA Medipalli Satyam

KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 05, 2024: Though BJP contestant Bandi Sanjay Kumar has won from the Karimnagar parliament constituency with a thumping majority of 2,25,209, which is the constituency record, the party candidate had dented into the BRS vote bank in six assembly segments out of seven assembly segments of the parliament constituency.

The BJP candidate had secured the lead even in the Sircilla assembly segment represented by BRS working president and former Minister K Taraka Rama Rao. Incidentally, Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar had continued his dominance in his Husnabad segment and ensured that the Congress contestant Velichala Rajender Rao secure majority from the Husnabad assembly segment.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar secured a lead of 59,375 votes in the Karimnagar assembly segment represented by BRS MLA and former Minister Gangula Kamalakar. Out of total votes polled in Karimnagar assembly segment, BJP secured 1,23,127 votes, the Congress secured 63,755 votes and the BRS candidate Vinod Kumar polled only 29,334 votes.

Similarly, the BJP candidate gained considerably in the Choppadandi assembly segment represented by Congress MLA Medipalli Satyam. The BJP secured a lead of 53,009 votes in Choppadandi segment. Out of a total of 1,76, 165 votes polled in the segment, the BJP polled 94,992 votes, Congress secured 41,983 and BRS 26,808 votes.

In Vemulawada assembly segment represented by Government Whip Adi Srinivas, the BJP candidate secured a lead of 43,572 votes. Against the total 1,68,336 votes votes polled in the segment, the BJP secured 81,714 votes, Congress 36,022, the BRS polled 38,142 votes.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar continued his dominance in Manakondur assembly segment represented by DCC president and Congress MLA Dr Kavvampalli Satyanarayana by securing a lead of 24, 450 votes. Against the total 1,75,228 votes polled in the segment, the BJP secured 77,282 votes, the Congress polled 52,769 votes and BRS polled 32,095 votes.

In Huzurabad segment represented by BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, the BJP candidate secured a lead of 22,974 votes. Out of a total of 1,84,170 votes polled in the segment, the BJP secured 73,280 votes, Congress secured 50,306 votes and the BRS secured 47,379 votes.

In Sircilla assembly segment, the BJP candidate Bandi Sanjay secured a lead of 6,748 votes. Out of a total of 1,85573 votes polled, the BJP secured 72,559 votes, BRS secured 65,811 votes and the Congress polled 33,610 votes.

Incidentally, in Husnabad assembly segment represented by Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar, the Congress candidate secured a lead of 23,128 votes. Against a total 1,90,822 votes polled, the Congress candidate secured 79,001 votes, BJP secured 55,873 votes and the BRS polled 41,298 votes.

The Congress candidate secured lead in Husnabad and second position in Karimnagar, Choppadandi, Manakondur and Huzurabad assembly segments and third position in Sircilla and Vemulawada segments.
