Bandi Sanjay Kumar accorded tumultuous welcome during his maiden as Union Minister in Karimnagar

Party rank and file accorded rousing welcome amid drum beats from district borders of Shanigaram to Karimnagar town

KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 19, 2024: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar was accorded a tumultuous welcome by the party rank and file and his well-wishers during his maiden to the Karimnagar parliament constituency after assuming the charge of the Union Minister on Wednesday.

He was accorded a rousing reception from Shanigaram, the old Karimnagar district borders in Bejjanki mandal to the Karimnagar town, by the party rank and file. He was presented with flower bouquets and shawls and giant garlands by using cranes. The womenfolk welcomed him by presenting harathi. BJP National SC cell leader S Kumar welcomed Bandi Sanjay Kumar by displaying his martial arts skills of ‘Akada’ by playing with two sticks.

As soon as he reached the Karimnagar, he came down from the open top jeep and bowed down to the ground and touched his head by paying obeisance to the motherland at Kaman cross roads, the entry point of Karimnagar town. He was accorded guard of honour at the R&B guest house by the police officials.

Later, he visited the Mahashakthi temple and offered prayers. He took the blessings of his mother and proceeded to Kondagattu temple shrine shrine and later visited Nallagonda temple to offer prayers to Sri Lakshminarasimha swamy devasthanam and in the evening visited Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy devasthanam in Vemulawada.

In a brief chat with newsmen, Mr Sanjay Kumar thanked the people of Karimnagar for his political ascent from a municipal corporator to Union Minister. Reiterating his commitment to strive for the development of the Karimnagar parliament constituency, he said he would be indebted to the party rank and file, who had fought for him and went to jail and bared the police lathis during BRS regime.

Earlier, the BJP district unit leaders led by its president G Krishna Reddy felicitated Mr Sanjay Kumar. Former MLA B Shoba, general secretaries T Srinivas Goud, M Venkat Reddy, B Lakshminarayana, BJYM leader D Sampath, Media convenor Katakam Lokesh and others presented giant garland to Sanjay,.
