PEDDAPALLI, FEBRUARY 13, 2025: To boost the morale of the coal miners and motivate them to play an active role in the production of coal to meet the requirement of thermal power stations in the ensuing summer season, Singareni Collieries Company Limited Chairman and Managing Director N Balaram has launched the ‘Ganula Baata’ on Thursday.
Accordingly, the C&MD conducted a whirlwind tour of the coal mines in the Srirampur, Mandamarri, Bellampalli and Ramagundam regions from morning to evening on Thursday. He visited the mines, interacted with the miners, and motivated them to participate in intensification of the coal production and reap riches by cashing on the coal demand from the thermal power projects.
He also enlightened the importance of safety while excavating the coal and increased the work hours of the machinery to achieve the targeted coal production of 70 million tonnes during this financial year. He also informed the officials to utilise the services of women employees and warned of stern action if they abstain from their duties. The Chairman also dined with the employees in the canteen.
Directors LV Satyanarayana and K Venkateshwarlu, Area general manager B Venkataiah, GM (safety) KHS Gupta, GM (quality) Baidya, AITUC general secretary Raj Kumar and others were also present.
