Karimnagar has turned into the Happening City: Former MP Vinod Kumar

Inaugurates two-day Property Show in Karimnagar town

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 09, 2024:  Former Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar has said that the Karimnagar has turned into the most happening city in the Telangana state after the Hyderabad city in terms of development and real estate growth.

After the formation of Telangana state, the Karimnagar which is strategically located in the north Telangana region, is making steady progress on all fronts because of availability of water through Lower Manair Dam (LMD) reservoir, he said and added that the town was being developed under the Smart city project and turning into the happening city with cable-stayed bridge and upcoming Manair river front.

Mr Vinod Kumar along with NAFSCOB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao, Mayor Y Sunil Rao, DCCB vice chairman P Ramesh and others formally inaugurated a two-day Property Show orgainised by ‘Namaste Telangana and Telangana Today’ at Revenue gardens in Karimnagar town on Friday.

Several real estate developers, infrastructure developers, roof top solar power projects, doors and interior decorators, cement company, cardboards, Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank, State Bank of India, Union Bank of India and other bankers were present as the banking partners at the event. A total of 30 stalls were set up at the Property show. Some real estate developers from Hyderabad also participated in the show.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Vinod Kumar said that “It’s a good initiative by Namaste Telangana and Telangana Today. This event will be helpful to the people looking to buy properties in Karimnagar and Hyderabad”. He said that the Karimnagar is the growth centre in the north Telangana and would turn into an educational hub also.

NAFSCOB and TSCAB chairman K Ravinder Rao said that there was steady growth of real estate sector in the Telangana state and ranked number one in the country. He said that the Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank was also extending housing loans right from the villages to the  towns in the district and so far had disbursed Rs 350 crore for housing loans in the district.

Mayor Y Sunil Rao said that the Karimnagar city was progressing on par with Hyderabad city in real estate sector. Contrary to fears that the growth would come down after the formation of new districts, he said that the real estate had grown with double speed in Karimnagar town. When there were 4,700 house permissions from 2010 to 2016 in MCK, it had gone up to 8,300 house permissions including 250 apartments in Karimnagar town from 2017 to 2023, he stated.

He also informed that the radius of Karimnagar town had increased from 24 kilometers to 61 kilometers radius with the merger of adjoining villages into the Municipal corporation and creation of Satavahana Urban Development Authority (SUDA). Namaste Telangana GM (advt) Surender Rao, branch manager and bureau in-charge K Prakash Rao and deputy manager (advt) Mallaiah and others were also present.
