Elaborate arrangements for devotees visiting Ratha sapthami which is also ‘mini Brahmotsvam’ at Tirumala on February 16

TTD cancels VIP break darshan and issuance of SSD tokens

TIRUMALA, FEBRUARY 03, 2024: TTD is making elaborate arrangements to conduct the annual Ratha Sapthami fete on February 16 which is also known as Mini Brahmotsavam, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

In view of Ratha Sapthami, the TTD has cancelled all Arjitha sevas and cancelled VIP, break darshan and senior citizens and infant children along with their parents darshan. The TTD also cancelled the issuance of SSD tokens on February 15, 16 and 17.

Sri Malayappa Swamy will ride on the Surya Prabha, Chinna Sesha, Garuda, Hanumanta, Kalpavruksha, Sarva bhupala and Chandra Prabha Vahanams on a single day on the Mada streets to bless the devotees. TTD is making all arrangements for Anna Prasadam, drinking water etc. to devotees sitting in the galleries all along the Mada streets throughout the day.

The TTD is expecting heavy pilgrims rush for the mini-Brahmotsavams and providing all facilities for the devotees. It had decided to provide anna prasadams and tiffins at the mada street galleries for the devotees waiting to see the Ratha sapthami. The TTD had decided to keep 3.5 lakh laddus as buffer stock to meet the demand.

Achievements

In the last 26 months 2350 heart surgeries, 11 Heart Transplants including a successful heart operation to a two-day-old baby were successfully performed in Sri Padmavathi Children’s Heart Centre.

New building dedicated to children as a super speciality hospital is titled as Sri Padmavati Institute of Child Health.

On January 18, Multi-organ transplant operations of heart, liver and kidneys were simultaneously performed with organs provided by a brain-dead person in an accident donated by his parents from Somanatham village, of Poothalapattu mandal of Chittoor district.

TTD-run SV Arts College, SGS Arts College and Sri Padmavati Degree College have received prestigious Autonomous status from UGC which helps these institutions in the latest teaching methods, exams, to stand out in the competitive world with syllabus adaptation and attractive campus placements.

IT wing has identified 52 websites and 13 mobile apps as fakes and filed complaints with the police. The devotees are requested to beware of such digital frauds and trust only the official portal of TTD, ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in for booking Darshan, rooms, making donations etc.

While briefing the media after the live phone-in program, the EO shared the details of pilgrims in the month of January.

Srivari Darshan – 21.09 lakh devotees

Hundi collection – 116.46 crore

Laddu Prasadam -1.03 crore

Anna Prasadam- 46.46 lakh 

Kalyana Katta – 7.05 lakh
