Decennial celebrations would be celebrated in Dubai on June 9
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 03, 2024: The Telangana NRIs celebrated the decennial Telangana State Formation Day with patriotism and gaiety at Abu Dhani in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday.
Under the aegis of Telangana Friends Association, the Telangana NRIs converged at BS Events hall in Abu Dhabi and celebrated the Telangana formation day with gaiety. They launched the celebrations by lighting the lamp and paying floral tributes to the portrait of Telangana ideologue Prof K Jayashankar.
The Children rendered the Telangana Anthem “Jaya Jayahe Telangana’ and participated in other cultural programmes depicting the history and culture of Telangana. On this occasion, the Telangana NRIs recollected various phases of the statehood movement.
Telangana Friends Association president Raja Srinivas Rao said that the Telangana was only a new state but an inspiration and the future generation should know about its significance. Programme anchor Gopinath Mallela thanked the parents of children for their impressive cultural programmes on the Telangana culture and traditions. Mallesh Korepu won appreciations for his Telangana songs.
On this occasion, a poster pertaining to decennial celebrations of Telangana state formation day which would be held in Dubai on June 9 by the Spark media and Telangana Friends Association was released. A cake was also cut on the occasion to mark the decennial celebrations. Prizes were distributed to the children. Ashok Guntaka, Pavani Srinivas, Archana Vamshi, Padmaja Ganga Reddy, Latha Gopal, Deepthi Srinivas, Priya Venkat Reddy, Lakshmi Reddy and others were also present.
