Telangana Mala Mahanadu state general secretary resigns to BRS

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 23, 2024: Telangana Mala Mahandu state general secretary and Karimnagar district SC\ST sarpanches association president Medi Anjaiah has announced his resignation to the Bharath Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for the neglect of local bodies during the last 10 years of BRS regime in Telangana state.

In a resignation letter submitted to party leadership and a copy of which was released to the media here on Friday, Medi Anjaiah said that he was elected as sarpanch Mannempalli village in Thimmapur mandal and joined the BRS party expecting that the villages would be transformed under the regime of BRS founder and former CM K Chandrashekhar Rao and former Manakondur legislator Rasamayi Balakishan.

In contrary, the villages and the local bodies were completely neglected by the BRS government forcing the sarpanches to make huge debts to fulfill the promises made to the villagers. In spite of taking up several works in the village, the government had failed to release funds to the grama panchayat, he said and added that several sarpanches had also committed suicide and some others were forced to sell their properties and belongings to clear the pending bills.
