KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 05, 2024: BRS Municipal Corporator from 49th division Sardarni Kamaljith Kaur has urged the BRS district president GV Ramakrishna Rao to suspend the BRS leaders and Municipal Corporators who were allegedly involved in land grabbing, extortion and cheating cases and lodged in the jail.
Accordingly, the woman corporator submitted a petition in this regard to the BRS district president in Karimnagar town on Tuesday. She stated that several BRS leaders and Municipal corporators had brought disrepute to the party by indulging in illegal activities and running land mafia and cheating the people. Several BRS municipal corporators and party leaders have been lodged in jail on the charges of land grabbing, she said and urged the party to sack them from the party and remove them from the elected post for bringing bad name the party.
She also reminded few months back the party had issued show-cause notice to her for questioning the corruption and funds for the development of his municipal division and staging protests in the council meeting demanding drinking water supply. But, the accused Municipal corporators and BRS, who were arrested and lodged in jail, are still continuing in the party, she said and demanded the party to remove them from the party.
