HYDERABAD, MARCH 19, 2024: In order to create awareness on growing good quality, pesticide residue free vegetables on Terrace, the Department of Horticulture has decided to organise a one-day training on Terrace garden cultivation of vegetables at Telangana Horticulture Institute, Red hills, Hyderabad, under ‘Mana Illu – Mana Kuragayalu’ (our house – our vegetables) on March 24 from 10 am to 1 pm.
According to an official release here on Tuesday, the Horticulture department informed the interested people to attend the training programme by paying a registration fee of Rs 100 only. The officials said that keeping in view of rapid urbanization, unavailability of area for cultivation of vegetables and escalation of prices of vegetables due to shortage, it was the need of the hour to take up terrace cultivation of vegetables to meet the vegetable requirement of the family.
