Cleanliness drive by NSS volunteers as part of seven-day camp in Kodimial mandal

KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 19, 2024: As part of the seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) camp being organised by NSS unit of Vivekananda Degree and PG college in Karimnagar town, the volunteers participated in the cleanliness drive at the Government Junior college in Kodimial and cleaned the premises including the toilets on Tuesday, the fourth day of the camp.

The NSS volunteers also laid a kucha road to the toilets by putting the gravel and levelling the ground and also by removing the shrubs. In the afternoon session, Kodimial Sub-Inspector S Sandeep participated as chief guest and lauded the services of NSS volunteers. Appreciating the services of NSS volunteers, the SI inspired the volunteers to promote the brotherhood in the society.

Stating that the participation in the NSS activities would help the students develop allround personality development and leadership qualities and also help them learn about the society, the SI also called upon the students to excel in their chosen career and serve the society throughout their life. NSS programme officers R Gopi Krishna and K Satish Kumar, former upa-sarpanch G Jeevan Reddy, senior NSS volunteers M Ravichander and others were also present.
