

Distributes helmets free of cost and conducts a motorcycle rally to create awareness and prevent head injuries in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 20, 2025: Renee Group of Hospitals in Karimnagar town in association with the Karimnagar Traffic Police conducted a World Head Injury Awareness Day to raise awareness about brain injuries and promote the use of helmets, particularly for motorists, to prevent head injuries in Karimnagar town on Thursday.
On this occasion, the Renee Hospitals has distributed around 200 helmets to Municipal staff, ambulance drivers and police personnel. Later, a motorcycle rally was flagged off from Renee Hospital in Karimnagar town by ACP Venkat Swamy. The motorcycle rally passed through all important thoroughfares of the town and converged at Indira chowk.
Renee Hospitals Chairman Dr Bangari Swamy, who is also orthopedician, said that the campaign was aimed to educate the people about the importance of wearing safety equipment like helmets and seat belts to prevent head injuries in accidents. Stating that the wearing a helmet is a simple yet crucial step in preventing traumatic brain injuries, especially for motorists and cyclists, Dr Swamy said that even minor head injuries can have long-lasting impacts on brain function and cognitive abilities.
Appealing the motorists to wear helmets while driving to prevent head injuries, he informed the people to follow the rules and regulations and prevent accidents.
