KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 15, 2024: As part of the campaign of ‘Save The Girl Child’, the Lions Club of Karimnagar Kaleshwari has distributed over 100 organic sanitary napkins to the girls of the government girls high school, Doctors street, in Karimnagar town on Friday.
District Coordinator of ‘Save The Girl Child’ Anuradha Boorla along with other members Radha, Gayathri, Vandana, Bhavani and school principal distributed the sanitary pads to the girls. Anuradha Boorla had sponsored the sanitary pads.
On this occasion, Anuradha educated the girl students about the importance of hygiene and health during the menstrual cycle. She explained health disadvantages of using unclean clothes instead of sanitary napkins among the girls and women. She also informed them about basic concepts of health and how to dispose of the napkins. She called upon the girls to eat more nutritious food to check anaemia.
