KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 07, 2024: Women empowerment cell of Government Degree College, Jammikunta, in association with Prathima Foundation organised an health awareness programme for the girl students of the college on Thursday, on the eve of International women’s day.
Dr B Madhavi from Prathima institute of medical sciences enlightened the students on various health issues. Empowering them on gyneac issues, she informed the students to maintain hygiene and proper sanitation. She also clarified several doubts of the girls in an in-camera session later.
Women empowerment cell coordinator B Suvarna and V Swaroop Rani initiated the programme. In his address Principal D. Rajashekar educated the importance of proper health to stay fit and healthy. Faculty members A. Srinivas Reddy, M. Rammohan Rao, Easwaraiah, Anusha, Mamatha, Sreelatha, and students participated in the programme.
Earlier, a skill development awareness programme was also conducted by Prathima foundation coordinators Kaushik and Geetha Reddy.
