
Conducts Ni-Kshay Shivir Screening Camp (in collaboration with TB Cell, Telangana) as a part of 100-days intensified Campaign to eradicate TB by 2025
HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY 13, 2025: The GSI Training Institute conducted Ni-Kshay Shivir Screening Camp in its Bandlaguda-Nagole Office in collaboration with TB Cell, Telangana on Thursday (February 13,2025) as a part of 100-day Intensified Campaign to eradicate TB by 2025. This campaign aims to enhance awareness, improve detection, and ensure effective treatment and prevention measures in the office premises. The camp provided free TB screenings/counselling, ensuring the early diagnosis and intervention.

The Screening Camp was inaugurated by Dr S. Ravi, Dy. Director General and Head Mission-V, in the august presence of Doctors, supporting staff and entire team of Telangana TB Cell, Officers, Trainee Officers and Employees of the GSITI.
During the address, Dr. S. Ravi highlighted the role of various Government bodies and Institutions like GSI Training Institute in achieving this ambitious goal of eradicate TB by 2025. He appraised the Doctors and supporting team from State TB Cell, Telangana and District TB Cell, Rangareddy for conducting this kind of campaign and screening camps.
The Medical officers of the TB Cell were given awareness on TB stigma and urge the employees to take advantage of the Ni-Kshay Shivir Screening Camp, which offers free TB screening, diagnosis, and consultation, ensuring early detection and care.
Mallesh Ganji, Senior Geologist & Nodal Officer, TB, GSITI informed that Dr Ayesha, Dr Aditya, Dr Vasu Prasad, Dr Wilson Anil Kumar and supporting team from 15 members State TB Cell, Telangana and District TB Cell, Rangareddy conducted the Screening camp and a total of 120 members of Officers, Trainees, Staff of GSITI were screened during the camp.
