KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 17, 2025: Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA) state advisor and independent contestant from Karimnagar Graduates Constituency in the MLC elections Yadagiri Shekhar Rao has reiterated that he was contesting the elections only to serve the society.
“I am not a businessman unlike other political parties’ leaders viz contestants from Congress and BJP contestants, who had commercialized the education into a business. I had protected the budget schools as part of social service”, he stated.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Mr Shekhar Rao said “my life and life is only to serve the society. Whether it is graduates, teachers, lawyers, doctors, engineers, journalists and others, I will always strive for their wellness”. Expressing concern over the pathetic living conditions of the private school teachers, he stressed the need for a comprehensive act for the protection of private teachers by providing them with health insurance and pension facilities.
Stating that several private educational institutions have downed their shutters following the non-release of fee reimbursement since 2021, he said that he would strive for the release of pending fee reimbursement. He also reiterated that there is a need for an independent candidate to be elected as the MLC from the Karimnagar Graduates to raise their voice in the Legislative Council.
Stating that the political parties MLCs will not raise the voice for the Graduates due to compulsions, he said that the Independent candidate can alone raise the voice for the betterment of Graduates. He also promised to donate his monthly salary to setting resource centres, library and counselling centres to guide the youth to secure employment and discourage them from being addicted to liquor, ganja etc.
Mr Shekhar Rao said that this election was between corporate businessman viz Congress and BJP contestants and a common man like him. He reiterated that he would strive to fulfil the promises and work as a servant for the benefit of graduates.
