KARIMNAGAR, MAY 04, 2024: In order to increase the voting percentage in the ensuing parliament elections from Karimnagar constituency, District Election Officer and Collector Pamela Satpathy has launched a movement to sensitise the voters through ‘Vote kee mehendi’ campaign organised by the transgenders in Karimnagar town on Saturday.
Election Commission of India too, has recommended exploitation of novel ideas, including mehndi art to amplify voter awareness about significance of using franchise without any allurement, political and communal pressure or coercion for preserving the sanctity of the democracy of India.
On this occasion, Collector Pamela Satpathy and trainee Collector AjayYadav had also participated in the campaign. The Collector appreciated the representatives of transgenders who had also offered to work as brand ambassadors to spread awareness among masses about the significance of voting in democracy.
