
RAMAGUNDAM, JUNE 02, 2025: NTPC Ramagundam proudly celebrated Telangana Formation Day on Monday (June 2, 2025) with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of respect for the state’s rich history, culture, and sacrifices made by its people.
The event began with the flag hoisting ceremony, symbolising the pride and spirit of Telangana, followed by the soulful rendition of the Telangana State Anthem (Telangana Geet), which filled the atmosphere with a deep sense of unity and cultural identity.

Addressing the gathering, NTPC Ramagundam and Telangana Executive Director Mr Chandan Kumar Samanta highlighted the tremendous development taking place in Telangana, referring to it as an emerging industrial hub, with NTPC Ramagundam being a significant contributor to this progress. He also paid homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the formation of the state, emphasising that Telangana’s vibrant culture and legacy greatly enrich the nation as a whole.
Mr Babar Salim Pasha, Central NBC Member, shared heartfelt insights into the struggles and challenges faced during the statehood movement. He spoke about the relentless efforts and unwavering spirit of the people who fought for a separate state and extended his heartfelt congratulations to everyone on this proud occasion.
The event was graced and addressed by several senior officials, including Mr Alok Kumar Tripathi, GM (O&M), Ramagundam; Mr Mukul Rai, GM (O&M), Telangana; Mr K.C. Singha Roy, GM (Operations); and Mr Bijoy Kumar Sikdar, union representatives, and association members.
A two-minute silence was observed in solemn remembrance of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the creation of Telangana, reinforcing the values of unity, sacrifice, and pride.
The event concluded with the release of balloons. Officers from various departments, representatives of the Union & Associations and local bodies were also present at the event. The event was a tribute to Telangana’s enduring spirit and NTPC Ramagundam’s commitment to celebrating the cultural and historical milestones of the region.
