Nature destructs the dreams of successful electioneering by contestants of parties

KARIMNAGAR, MAY 07, 2024: Sudden rains followed by the rains had hampered electioneering by the political parties in various parts of the integrated Karimnagar district on Tuesday.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was scheduled to campaign in Karimnagar town on Tuesday in support of party candidate Velichala Rajender Rao at the SRR college grounds. Accordingly, the party had erected the tents and made all arrangements. However, the strong winds followed by the rains had damaged the tents and other infrastructure.

Later, Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar, who visited the spot, had announced the cancellation of the meeting following the damages caused to the tents and other infrastructure for the meeting. The Chief Minister, who was scheduled to arrive in Karimnagar town at around 4.30 pm by helicopter, had cancelled the visit following the instructions by the aviation authorities due to strong winds and rains.

Similarly, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who visited Manthani assembly segment, to campaign for BJP contestant G Srinivas, was forced to address the thinly attended gathering from the publicity vehicle following the destruction tents and other infrastructure organised for the meeting.
